Xavier selected at 34th overall in first KenPom results

The first KenPom rankings have been released, which means College Basketball is just around the corner!

 

In the 2023/24 debut, Xavier checks in at 34th overall in the country with the projected 21st overall offensive efficiency and 47th overall defensive efficiency and the 50th adjusted tempo at 72.7.

KenPom projects Xavier to have a 19-11 season, and an 11-9 overall Big East Conference record.

 

Also notable, 3 of the top four ranked teams in KenPom's rankings are on Xavier's schedule as they will play #1 overall Purdue, #3 overall Houston and the defending National Champion UCONN Huskies who come in at #4 overall.

 

Additional notable teams on the schedule include crosstown rival Cincinnati at 53rd, Marquette coming in at 11 and Creighton just behind them at 12th overall.

 

Xavier opens up their season November 6th vs Robert Morris who come in ranked 307th overall, by far the lowest ranked team on their schedule.
