Catching Up With the 2023 Xavier Musketeers

As Sean Miller prepares for Season two in his return to Xavier, there will be a lot of turnover. 

Last season's Sweet 16 saw multiple players graduate, and one leave early to move on to the 2023 NBA Draft. Here is what this upcoming season will look like for each player that moved on from Xavier at the end of the 2022/23 Season.

 

Colby Jones- Colby left school a year early to enter the NBA Draft. Jones was selected 34th overall by the Charlotte Hornets but had his draft rights traded to the Sacramento Kings.

 

Souley Boum- Boum filled a major role his one season with the Musketeers. After playing alongside Jones with the Kings during the 2023 NBA 2K Summer League, Boum has signed a training camp contract with the defending NBA Champion Denver Nuggets.

 

Adam Kunkel- The sharpshooting Kunkel spent time with the Golden State Warriors during the 2023 NBA 2K Summer League. After his time with the Dubs, Kunkel will continue his career with the Astana Basketball Club in Kazakhstan.

 

Jack Nunge- The former big man who became a fan favorite for his legendary performance in the 2021 Crosstown Shootout vs Cincinnati also played in the Summer League with the Detroit Pistons. Nunge will spend this season with Givova Scafati out of the LBA in Italy.

 

Cesare Edwards- the former Xavier big transferred to Missouri State to continue his college playing days with the Bears.

 

Dieonte Miles- Miles started nine games in his three playing years with Xavier. He will play this season for the Morehead St Eagles out of the OVC.

 

Kyky Tandy- the former four star recruit will play for Jacksonville State out of the ASUN this season.

 

Elijah Tucker- Tucker wasn't able to find much playing time during his two seasons at Xavier. Tucker will playoff the Longwood Lancers out of the Big South Conference.
