University of Cincinnati women's basketball head coach Katrina Merriweather has announced the signing of transfer Mya Perry.

Perry joins the Bearcats after spending the past two seasons at Florida Atlantic University.

"I'm excited for Mya to join our Sisterhood," said Merriweather. "Mya has proven to be one of best three-point shooters in the country. As we continue to build our program, she is a critical piece for next season. Beyond being an added offensive threat, she provides leadership and someone who will be in the gym working on her game constantly. She has a great support system, and we welcome them to the family! We are thrilled to bring Mya home to Ohio and look forward to seeing her family and friends in the stands for her final season!"

The 5-foot-11 guard earned All-American Athletic Conference Second Team honors last season after leading FAU in scoring with 15.5 points per game, ranking fifth in the conference.

"Being a Bearcat has always been a dream," said Perry. "It was my first offer, and now it's come full circle. I am so grateful to be close to home, where my family can pack the stands and represent the great city of Cincinnati. I chose Cincinnati because of the genuine love and care that the staff and players showed me immediately. It felt like home with no doubt in my mind. There is no other place I'd rather wear across my chest, and I can't wait to be a part of the Sisterhood. I'm excited to see the possibilities we can accomplish."

A prolific shooter, she knocked down a team-high 76 three-pointers and shot 35.5% from deep in 2024-25. She delivered 23 double-digit scoring performances, including six 20-point outings and a career-high 31 points against Memphis in the regular season finale.

As a sophomore in 2023-24, Perry started 26 games, averaging 11.0 points per game and ranking among the AAC's top three-point shooters with a 38.6% clip.

Perry began her collegiate career at Ohio State, where she helped the Buckeyes make their first Elite Eight appearance in 30 years.

A native of Reynoldsburg, Ohio, she holds the titles for all-time leading scorer and all-time leading three-point scorer at her high school, Reynoldsburg Summit.
