Rayvon Griffith Entering Transfer Portal
Cincinnati native Rayvon Griffith announced Monday that he will be entering his name in the transfer portal, with the option to return to Cincinnati.
"I want to take time to thank all of the coaches and I also want to thank all of my teammates," Griffith announced on social media. "These past two years have been a movie. Cincinnati will always be home and will always have a special place in my heart. With that said, I will be entering my name in the transfer portal and exploring a different path and follow God's footsteps."
A redshirt freshman, Griffith averaged 1.5 points, 0.6 rebounds, 0.3 assists per game, while shooting 29.6% from the field and 15.4% from deep.
A former consensus top-75 recruit, Griffith never seemed to carve a roll out in Cincinnati's rotation with Dan Skillings, Simas Lukosius, Josh Reed, and Dillon Mitchell all seeing extended minutes as he continued to try to develop how he could be best utilized within Cincinnati's system.
Griffith scored a season-high 8 points in the Bearcats' season ending loss to UCF. The 6'7" forward also pulled down three rebounds in 10 minutes of action.
