At 6-foot-3, 215 pounds, Gayle has the size and athleticism to play as a rush edge or outside linebacker in Tyson Veidt's 3-5-3 scheme.
On film, Gayle primarily plays as a stand up pass rusher off the edge. He shows great ball awareness and constantly keeps his eyes in the backfield. His athleticism allows him to make plays sideline-to-sideline and you can see the high motor that he plays with.
