In-State linebacker commits to UC

Following an official visit to the Queen City over the weekend, Gahanna-Lincoln (Columbus, OH) star Terrell Holcomb wasted no time to commit to the Bearcats.

Holcomb chose Cincinnati over offers from Toledo, Marshall, and Ohio U, among others. While Cort Braswell and defensive coordinator Tyson Veidt were the only "P4" coaches to offer the Columbus product, the offer list isn't a good indicator of the talent shown on film.

At 6'3" 205, Holcomb is listed as an athlete but has the size, versatility, and speed to play as either an outside linebacker or hybrid safety. He plays a physical brand of football and pursues the ball well sideline to sideline. In 13 games this past season, Holcomb finished with 89 tackles, 14 tackles for loss, 2.5 sacks, an interception, and a forced fumble.

Gahanna- Lincoln Defensive Coordinator Murad Holliday described Holcomb as an outstanding young man and a remarkable player, whose drive for success extends beyond football.

"He possesses the determination to excel in any field. Terrell is highly coachable, always asking questions to understand the 'why' behind everything, which is crucial for his development at the next level."

"On the field, Terrell is a physical player who exhibits the intensity of a 240-pound linebacker. His versatility allows us to move him around the field to leverage his diverse skill set. He is relentless in pursuing the football and has been an absolute pleasure to coach. We are fortunate to have another year together, and he has already established himself as a leader on our defense."

Holcomb becomes the 14th commit of Cincinnati's 2025 class and is the fifth Ohio product to commit to a class that currently ranks 34th nationally in the 247sports team rankings.
