Cincinnati stayed hot on the recruiting trail, following another weekend of official visits, with the commitment of 2025 three-star Princeton linebacker Paul Nelson.

Nelson released a final eight on April 10th that included Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Michigan, Pitt, Toledo, and West Virginia. Following an official visit to the local Clifton campus this weekend, Nelson chose the Bearcats as his future home.

Standing 6'2" 205 lbs, Nelson has good size for an outside linebacker and shows great athleticism, speed, and ball awareness on film. Former Bearcat legend and Hall of Famer Antwan Peek currently coaches at Princeton and offered the following on what UC is getting in "PJ" Nelson:

" PJ is a flat out football player! His ability to knife through gaps and make plays in the backfield separates him."

" The craziest thing about PJ is he doesn't know what he doesn't know. He's only going to get better. Once he adds more tools to his toolbox and becomes a better student of the game .... we may see one of the better linebackers to suit up in a Bearcat uniform."

Nelson becomes the 12th commitment of UC's 2025 recruiting class. With the additions of CJ Crite, Mikkel Skinner, and Nelson, the Bearcats now have the 24th ranked class in 247Sports' team rankings.
