Freshman Tyler Betsey Entering Transfer Portal

One day after Dan Skillings, Rayvon Griffith, and Josh Reed announced their intention to enter their names into the transfer portal, it was confirmed that freshman Tyler Betsey would also be looking for a change of scenery. 

Betsey, a former top-50 recruit, had an up-and-down season during his first year in Clifton averaging 3.5 points, 1.6 rebounds on 32.5% from deep. 

At 6'8", Betsey was brought in as a big wing that could stretch the floor with his shooting ability. Unfortunately for Wes Miller, Betsey was never able to provide the consistency needed to see extended minutes, averaging just 11 minutes per game. 

Betsey scored a total of 3 points over the Bearcats' final seven games. 

With the losses of Betsey, Skillings, Reed, and Griffith, UC will most likely try to add another big wing out of the transfer portal. 

Betsey did announce that Cincinnati will still be in consideration, leaving the option for a return.
