Four-Star Cornerback commits to Cincinnati

UC landed another commitment Monday evening when four-star Oscar Smith (Chesapeake, VA) cornerback Jahmari DeLoatch committed to Scott Satterfield and his staff.

DeLoach was on campus this past weekend for an official visit and ultimately chose the Bearcats over Michigan, Virginia Tech, and Wake Forest, among others.

Standing 5'10" 160 lbs, DeLoach is a speed corner with quick feet and great ball awareness that also plays with physicality and an aggressive style. DeLoatch has the versatility to play multiple positions within the secondary.

A track star, DeLoatch ran a 10.7 in the 100 meters and 21.5 in the 200 meters during his track season, earning a berth in the state finals. He was named both an Adidas and Nike All American.

On the field, he earned US Army Bowl Top Performer at their national combine series event in Virginia Beach and also received an All-America Bowl Invite.

DeLoatch joined the At Large Bid Bearcats Podcast to recap his official visit and discuss his commitment to Cincinnati and what stood out about Coach Kerry Coombs and the rest of the Cincinnati program and staff.
