Cincinnati Women's Basketball Announced Addition of Kylie Torrence

From Gobearcats:

University of Cincinnati women's basketball head coach Katrina Merriweather has announced the signing of Kylie Torrence.

Torrence is a 6-foot-2 incoming freshman who hails from High Point, N.C.

"Kylie is an amazing pick-up for our program," said Merriweather. "Her signing reflects the importance of establishing relationships during the recruiting process. She adds depth and athleticism and has a fearless presence on both ends of the floor. I love Kylie's energy and confidence. She has great versatility, and we look forward to the opportunity to grow and develop her along her journey. Just when we thought the 2025 class couldn't get better, it did. Kylie and her family fit in great with our culture and vision for the future of our program."

Torrence starred at Winston-Salem Christian, where she averaged 20 points, nine rebounds, and three assists per game. She was named team captain throughout high school and was the conference MVP.

"I am beyond blessed to be joining Cincinnati's family and, most importantly, the Sisterhood," said Torrence. "From the moment I stepped on campus and met the staff, I felt an undeniable sense of home. Even though I'm traveling away, the warmth, diversity, and beauty of this environment made it feel no different. I'm beyond grateful to God for this opportunity to be part of such a special culture. I can't wait to contribute to this amazing program and help build it even greater. Excited for what the future holds with my sisters! Go Bearcats!"

In addition to her high school achievements, Torrence played three seasons with Elevate Elite. She contributed to the team's undefeated run to the Adidas Nationals championship in 2023.

Originally committed to Boston College, Torrence reopened her recruitment in March 2025 and now joins Cincinnati's highly touted incoming freshman class.
