Bolingbrook (IL) defensive back commits to Cincinnati
Cincinnati received their sixth commitment of the 2025 class on Friday when 5-foot-11 , 180 pound Bolingbrook (IL) defensive back Jermaine Jones committed to the Bearcats.
Nicknamed Kool-aid, Jones picked UC over other reported offers from Boston College, Miami (OH), and Ball State, among others. While those offers might not be impressive on the surface, UC was able to get in early on Jones and make an impact on his recruitment prior to the process speeding up for him.
UC offered Jones on February 8th and after unofficially visiting the Bearcats decided to set an official visit for the weekend of June 13th.

Cincinnati's competitive nature and Jones' admiration of former Bearcat great, Sauce Gardner, were two of the primary factors in Jones picking the Bearcats.
On film, Jones shows great ball awareness as an outside cornerback and also has the versatility to slide back to safety, depending on situation and offensive formation. He can also make an impact on special teams, where he blocked two field goal attempts during his junior season.
