ALB Bearcats Pod: 2025 Georgia All State cornerback Patrick Williams commits to Cincinnati

The Bearcats got a boost to their 2025 recruiting class on Christmas day with the commitment of Rabun Gap (GA) cornerback Patrick "Pat" Williams.

Currently unranked in the 2025 rankings, Williams chose the Bearcats over offers from Tennessee, Appalachian State, and Vanderbilt, among others.

Williams finished his junior season with 7 interceptions, 24 tackles, and 13 pass break ups during a run to the Georgia NCISAA Division I State Championship game. Four of Williams' interceptions were returned for touchdowns.

The 5'11 165 pound cornerback was selected as an all state cornerback as a junior and it is easy to see why as soon as you watch his film.

He shows the ability to play multiple positions in the secondary and is able to track the ball well and break off of routes to make plays on the ball. On his four pick-six touchdowns, he showed athleticism to make the offense miss and then open field speed to break away from potential tacklers.

Williams plays with a physicality in press coverage as well as getting off blocks to make tackles in the open field. He plays with high energy on special teams and is around the ball making tackles regularly. Those traits typically translate to the next level and allow you to play early.

The Peach State star joined the At Large Bid Bearcats podcast on Tuesday to discuss his commitment and what stood out about Cincinnati following a camp showing in June that led to an offer from the Bearcats.

Patrick joins Toronto (OH) quarterback Zeb Kinsey and Dayton Wayne WR/TE Kamaurri Smith in Cincinnati's 2025 class.
