At Large Bid Bearcats Pod: 2025 Five-Star Cincinnati Women's Basketball Commit Dee Alexander

When 2025 Purcell Marian star Dee Alexander committed to Katrina Merriweather and the Bearcats last Wednesday, she became the highest rated commit in program history.

Ranked the No. 1 player in Ohio and sixth best prospect nationally, Alexander has won three consecutive state championships and was named Ohio Miss Basketball during her sophomore and junior seasons.

Alexander is the all-time leading scorer in Ohio High School State Tournament history, with 134 points, and became just the seventh player to win the Miss Basketball Award in consecutive seasons. 

The 6-foot-1 wing leads a loaded West Virginia Thunder program on the AAU circuit, one of the best in the country, and also averaged 8.2 points, 4.5 rebounds, 3.5 assists and 2.0 steals in helping USA to a 6-0 record and gold medal at the 2023 FIBA Americas U16 Championship in Merida, Mexico.
