Norse Rout Colonials in Horizon Behind Big Game From Warrick, 77-59

It was a great night at Truist Arena as the Norse began their defense of the 2023 Horizon League Title with a huge victory over Robert Morris.

Northern Kentucky debuted their new cream uniforms tonight, and had a little extra pep in their step. NKU was led by Marques Warrick who had a game high 25 points, and was having a great game from the jump tonight. Warrick shot 9/13 from the field and was 5/7 from the free-throw line.

NKU also had a solid performance from Sam Vinson who scored 15 points on 6/9 shooting. Vinson also picked up five rebounds which was second on the team.

The game had a lot of back and forth, where Robert Morris kept making runs to stay in the game, but eventually NKU was able to take over. The game was tied at 33 each with 16 minutes to go then NKU went on the rout to end up pulling away and getting the win.

NKU is now 4-3 (1-0) and will continue Horizon League play on the road this Saturday at IUPUI.
